All of us struggle with making exercise a regular habit. It can sometimes become very hard to fit it into our routine. Work can be busy and exhausting. However, if you want to make a firm commitment, you must take out time from your routine for it. In order to see the long-term results, you must be consistent. 1. Follow the principle of discipline over motivation

Don’t get me wrong, motivation is an extremely important fundamental to begin your weight loss journey. We all have sudden bouts of motivation overnight when we promise ourselves to adapt to a healthier lifestyle. But motivation levels are highly variable. Hence, we would not recommend you to rely on mere motivation to keep yourself on track. Make sure you have discipline over yourself to keep you on track.


2. Join a gym class 

Group effort makes everything easier. Doing exercise with a group of other people is much more fun, and would not feel tedious to you. It can turn into something you look forward to after a long and tiring day at work.


3. Track your progress

Using a weighing scale or measuring your waist, hips, thighs or arms can help you track your progress. Seeing the results you worked for will push you to work even harder and with consistency towards reaching your goal!


4. Engage in physical exercise that you enjoy

It is not necessary that you spend hours running on the treadmill or cycling on the stationary bike in the gym. Join a sports activity that you thoroughly enjoy such as tennis, football, cricket, running or even swimming.
